Project outline and scope of works

Traditional style project and cost management with client engaged designers and state inspectors. Aquarius Grup were engaged from the pre-construction phase of the project with input and supervision of the design and permitting stage leading to control and negotiation of the procurement process. Aquarius produced the tender and contract documentation and incorporated the client’s design and specification and specific end user requirements.

Preliminary cost plans were developed throughout the pre-construction phase as the design and requirements developed; allowing the client to negotiate with the principle end users prior to having a fixed design.

Value engineering exercises were undertaken with the design team to review and implement principles that contributed to ease of construction, reduced cost and added value for the project. Commercial support was provided throughout the project duration and advice on costs, periodic valuations, variations, contractor claims and potential disputes was provided to ensure the delivery of the project. Final support was provided during commissioning and testing and handover as well as supervision and implementation of defect reparation works during the defect liability period leading to the final reception of the works.

During the construction works Aquarius worked with the client representatives and the contractors to coordinate monitor and assist with the project scheduling and delivery; advising the client with regular meetings and reports, analysis documents and drafting the correspondence to the contractors.
